APCO Video - Early 70s Commercial

APCO's marketing department promoted the company across the region of states where the company operated gasoline distribution, including purchasing advertising time in a few local TV stations. APCO appeared in local media outlets across a few states This particular video was apparently filmed in Dallas, and featured reporter Joe Long, whose voice and name were familiar to people in that time frame after he had gained notoriety when he reported via radio on the assassination of JFK. APCO Road Maps

During the heyday of the APCO Oil Corporation, the company provided roadmaps wholesale to the gas station owners who wanted to stock them. Maps were published primarily for the state territories where the APCO Oil company actively sold gasoline, oil and other products. The maps would feature the "APCO Petroleum Products" logo prominently on the front covers, matching the signage that was used on the affiliated gas stations.
